Screw Clips
These clips are clips with a special screw form that is fully compatible with the sheet metal screws desired to be used. These products are cheap, fast and safe parts for easy assembly of different panels compared to other fixing elements.Screw clips can be manufactured from high carbon steels or springy stainless steels.

Arma Fixing manufactures a wide range of screw clips – also known as metal screw clips, screw clip fasteners or simply clips for screws. These parts are designed with a special screw form that is fully compatible with the sheet metal screws used in your assembly. Compared with traditional nuts, welds or rivets, screw clips offer a cheap, fast and safe way to join different panels and components.
Our screw clips can be produced in different sizes and materials to match your panel thickness and screw diameter, providing secure fixings on both sheet metal and plastic panels.
What are screw clips used for?
Screw clips are a type of metal fastening clips designed to work together with a screw. The clip is pushed onto the edge of a panel or into a specially designed opening. When the screw is driven in, the clip’s spring legs clamp onto the panel, and the threads lock securely into the screw.
Because they act as self-retaining nuts, screw clips are often called screw-retained clips or speed nut U type parts. They allow single-sided assembly, compensate for panel tolerances and reduce the need for welding, tapping or additional hardware.
U-Shaped Screw Clips
U-shaped screw clips – sometimes referred to as U-type speed nuts – are formed from spring steel in a U-shaped profile. One leg provides spring pressure against the panel.
These screw clips for sheet metal are ideal for edges and flanges. The clip is pushed over the panel and held in place by spring tension, and the screw then pulls the mating component tight, creating a strong and reusable joint.
We produce several families of screw clips to cover different mounting situations and panel designs.
Our screw clip fasteners are used wherever panels, trims, and brackets must be joined quickly and reliably.
- Automotive and Commercial Vehicles
– Body panels, wheel arch liners, bumpers, and under-body shields
– Interior and luggage compartment trim
– Mounting of brackets, ducts, cable guides, and small components
- Home Appliances & Consumer Products
– Side and back panels of washing machines, dryers, cookers, and refrigerators
– Mounting of plastic covers and control panels using screw clips for plastic panels
- Electrical Enclosures & Industrial Equipment
– Fixing of access doors, inspection covers, and guards
– Assembly of control cabinets and machine frames with repeatable torque settings
- HVAC, Construction, and Other Industrial Clip Applications
– Ducting, cable trays, suspended structures, and light equipment where fast installation is critical
Wherever a quick, screw-retained connection is required on a panel or flange, metal screw clips provide a clean, secure, and efficient solution.
The table below provides an overview of the typical technical ranges and material configurations available for our standard screw clips. Comprehensive specifications for each individual part can be found in the accompanying PDF datasheet.
